Teacher support

Teachers are at the center of Meskot's work. Local teachers prepare and present the lessons, and Meskot trains teachers to use them in class.

Teachers who make the lessons

Experienced local teachers turn the approved curriculum into video lessons.

The lessons are created with educators who understand the curriculum, the language and the learning needs of Tigray's children. They adapt approved curriculum content into lessons in Tigrinya, then prepare and present them on video.

Training

Using digital lessons alongside inclusive, child-centered teaching.

Meskot trains teachers to use its video lessons in class, together with inclusive, child-centered teaching practices that help every child take part.

At Adikentibay: 13 teachers trained

In May 2026, thirteen teachers took part in an orientation and training on how the Offline Learning Corner at Adikentibay Complete Primary School, in Shire, will run.

The teacher in a learning corner

The teacher guides the children and keeps the records.

  • Guides children in small groups, by grade.
  • Helps each child choose the lessons they need.
  • Keeps records of attendance and of which lessons are used.

Meskot trains the teacher and follows up; the attendance and lesson-use records are how Meskot learns which lessons help.
