Meskot Education is a charitable nonprofit expanding access to quality education for children in Tigray. We create curriculum-aligned learning resources in children's mother tongue, support teachers and schools, and deliver lessons online and offline, including through our Offline Learning Corners, so children can keep learning even where internet and devices are scarce.

At the start of the school year, from late July to early August 2026, Meskot's Back2School program gave back-to-school kits to 334 children in Shire.
We help children in Tigray keep learning, with local teachers and lessons that work without internet.
Digital learning has changed education elsewhere. Most children in Tigray cannot reach it yet.
Many children in Tigray learn in large classes, with few learning materials in Tigrinya, their mother tongue. Internet access and electricity are unreliable in much of the region, so online lessons and learning apps rarely reach them.
Strong foundations in reading, mathematics and science shape everything a child learns later. Meskot Education, a charitable nonprofit, works with local teachers, schools and communities so that every child can reach good lessons in their own language, with or without internet.
